Role Purpose The role’s prime responsibilities are to generate an optimal supply plan for finished goods for the tactical horizons (0-24 weeks) This position is a highly visible supply chain role that is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory planning across the Eastern European supply chain network. Ability to balance the sometimes conflicting goals of inventory targets, target customer service levels and safety stock requirements. This person is the key liaison to resolve supply issues and ensures the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives. This role will identify ways to improve supply planning processes by utilizing current tools (SAP R3, SAP APO and Excel). Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining finished goods inventories, developing the supply plan to reduce out of stocks across the supply chain network to increase service levels while minimizing purchasing costs and capital employed – EE scope in equal coverage: ENTIRE NETWORK COVERAGE Proactively utilize tools to review inventory projections & balancing supply and demand to prevent potential shortages or excessive inventory and demurrage Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. reorder point, safety stock, ABC categorization, etc…). Set up inventory targets and monitor actual inventory levels vs. targets Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence. Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigations. Proactively report about product and material availability issues. Responsible for continuous improvement Responsible for overall master data maintenance in systems associated with supply planning such as lead times, transportation modes, sourcing information, safety stocks, etc. to ensure system is effectively planning future requirements Interact with sales, marketing, customer service, logistics, mill planning and finance in order to deliver company KPIs with optimal cost to meet customer expectation Delivering the weekly and monthly supply planning processes to S&OP team and other business stakeholders Working with key stakeholders in Supply, Demand, Scheduling, Sales and Marketing to identify and deliver optimal solutions to issues Work with the wider S&OP team to drive forwards process and systems development. The result will be excellent customer service at minimum cost, by delivering: A supply plan that supports business objectives.
